Wednesday, July 29th at Lonergan Park (located behind Goldberg's on Rt. 11). Don't miss being entertained by this popular band. The concert is from 6:00-8:00pm, but feel free to come early to enjoy food catered by Barbieri's II Restaurant. A delicious, family priced meal may be purchased beginning at 5:45pm. Bring your family, friends, and a lawn chair for a delightful evening with music and dancin' in the park. This is the 5th of 10 summer concerts. Concerts are free and open to the public. In the event of rain, a decision will be made by 3:30pm. Call 458-8050 for details. If cancelled due to rain, this concert will be held the following evening, July 30th. Description:
Beginning the 1st Thursday in July (after the 4th), they perform on six consecutive Thursday evenings on the parks in Oxford. Under the direction of Francis Wilcox (or a guest conductor), the group (of approximately thirty members, ranging in age from school students to senior citizens), will play moderate grade marches, show tunes, overtures and novelty selections for the enjoyment of the Oxford community. The band has been made up of musicians from as many as nine towns. Visiting Oxford Band alumnae are encouraged to make themselves known to the group or bring an instrument and sit in with them.

Seniors will meet at St. Paul's Church Parish House from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Oxford Senior Center is available for people who want to get out and have a delicious hot meal, in the company of others, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Seniors are invited to get together and socialize, share memories, play cards or dominoes. Partly funded by the Town of Oxford, the United Way, and other generous contributions. The Senior Center is open to anyone sixty years and older living within the Oxford township. Approximately 15 to 22 men and women attend. The Center offers this wonderful program *3 days-a-week, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Nutritious and delicious lunches are prepared by the Chenango County Area Agency on Aging, Nutrition Center. (*Every Monday the Senior Center meets at the United Methodist Church, but food is not available.
